Animal Crossing: New Horizons, however, remained at the top with over 423,000 units sold.
Capcoms Resident Evil 3 According to Famitsu Japan had a very strong publication in his opening week. The remake sold whopping 189,490 units in retail, according to the estimated sale of the publication of 30 March to 5 April 2020. The estimates included the regular publication and the Z-evaluated version of the game.
Impressive as it is, this was not enough to deethron Nintendos Animal Crossing: New Horizonte. Despite the launch of a few weeks ago, the switch sold exclusively for this week estimated 423,367 units in retail. This brings its total turnover to life in Japan to 3,031,784, which is quite crazy even without taking into account digital turnover.
Take a look at the full software sales tables below. With respect to the hardware, the Nintendo Switch sold approximately 155,000 units per week for both the regular and lite models. The PS4 made about 19,000 sold units per week, whereby the basic model and PS4 were accounted for. The full hardware sale can also be seen below.
