Eriksen debut not yet foreseeable

The Danish soccer international Christian Eriksen must wait for his comeback after his change to the Premier League. "It's hard to tell when he will be so far," said coach Thomas Frank of Eriksens New Club FC Brentford.

He hopes for a few weeks, "but I do not know," said the Dane. He could tell more if he had seen Eriksen for the first time in training. The 29-year-old is expected on Sunday in the British capital and is scheduled for the first time on Monday with the team.

Mathias Jensen recalls replacing Christian Eriksen at Euro 2020 | Premier League World | NBC Sports Eriksen had first signed a contract until the summer at the London First Lower Upshill. Because of its dramatic collapse at the EM last summer, he previously underwent comprehensive medical examinations. "He went a lot, has trained a lot," Frank said. The foundations voted. "But it's another thing to have the necessary game speed."

The coach showed himself enthusiastic about the change. "It is perhaps the biggest transfer of history for the club," he said. "We did it, and that's fantastic."

Frank reminded of Eriksens outstanding achievements in the London first division Tottenham Hotspur, for which the midfielder was active between 2013 and 2020. "You have experienced him as one of the best in the Premier League, and what happened to him in June was a shock for us all. The day he returns will be very emotional," Frank said.
