NBA, News: Stephen Curry from Record Extension at the Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry could soon conclude one of the biggest contracts ever. According to media reports, the Golden State Warriors will submit another maximum contract to twice MVP.

This reports Marc Stein (Substrac). Accordingly, the Warriors and Curry will agree on a timely man. Curry is to get a new contract for four years and $ 215 million, which binds the 33-year-olds to the Warriors until 2026.

Already now the Warriors star is the highest paid players of the complete NBA, he is likely to stay for a while. In the 2025/26 season, Curry's whopping $ 59.6 million will collect, on average, the DUBS will transfer 53 million to the Point Guard over the four years. That would be a new record.

Finally, when the contract expires, curry will be 38 years old, it is unlikely that the two-time MVP will continue to operate at the level of recent years. As counter-example, however, Chris Paul can be called, which at 36 years the Phoenix Suns for the first time since 1993 once again led to the finals.

In the past season, Curry played at least at the level, which made him MVP in 2015 and 2016. The 33-year-old was with a section of 32.0 points Topscorer der League and set up its own personal best. The Guard has been playing for the Warriors since 2009, only Udonis Haslem has remained true to the active players of a franchise (since 2003 in Miami).
